One leading the prisoners back to the caves
Legolas and Gimli advanced on the orcs, raising their weapons with a harrowing war cry.
With his new companions riding closely behind, Gimli led the way down the road. After ten minutes of brisk travel, they came upon a group of orcs leading some prisoners back from the battle. The two warriors quickly dispatched the creatures with few, if any, injuries.
As the orcs dropped to the ground, Gimli dismounted and looked into the eyes of one of the prisoners.
“Tell us everything you know,” he demanded, then quickly withdrew his weapon. “We mean you no harm just tell us where your leaders are.”
“We are a part of the forces of Ossur, King of Orcs.
He sent us to carry the prisoner back here,” the orc replied, patting the prisoner on the shoulder.
“He is a prince of the elves,” he added proudly.
“They were attacked by your soldiers when they went into your country.
I was wounded, but I am fine now.
The prisoner was injured too, but the elf healed him.“This is good news,” Gimli exclaimed, turning to the party. He is the one leading the prisoners back to the caves. We are on our way to those caves ourselves. ”How are we to get past them?” Legolas asked.
